Who we are
UK Subsidiary is the international arm of Buzz Accounting Ltd, a licensed UK accountancy practice working with hundreds of businesses and individuals from offices in London, Manchester, Wigan and Leigh, and Northern Ireland, with its own registered company in Pretoria, South Africa, trading as Buzz Accounting South Africa. The practice was founded in October 2023 by Andy Jackson and Peter Allen and has been digital from the first day.
This brand exists because the work of setting up and running a UK company for an overseas parent is a different job from ordinary UK accountancy. It involves company law, tax registrations, banking, transfer pricing and group reporting in the same conversation, on a timetable set by somebody in a different timezone who needs the answer before their board meeting. Here it is the whole job rather than a sideline to a general practice.
The alternatives
The alternatives for a foreign group are a Big Four firm, where a small subsidiary is a rounding error and the fee is not, or a formation agent, which incorporates the company and disappears. A licensed practice sits between the two: the same person handles the incorporation, the VAT registration, the payroll and the year-end accounts, and knows what happened in month two when a question arises in month fourteen.
How we work

What we are not
We are not a law firm, we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, we do not carry out statutory audits, we do not give immigration advice, we do not do insolvency work and we do not sell or arrange insurance. Several of those are regulated activities requiring a licence we do not hold, and we do the accounting, tax and company work ourselves and introduce a specialist for the rest.
