Setting up in the UK from abroad

Tell us what the UK operation needs to do

Where the parent is, what you want the UK company to do, and roughly when. It is enough for a fixed price covering the set-up and the first year.

We work UK hours and answer messages well beyond them. Most of the groups we act for are four to eleven hours away and it has never been the problem people expect.

What happens after you send this

Peter reads it and comes back with anything that is missing, then a fixed quote in writing for the set-up and the first year, normally the same working day.

What to tell us

The more of this you can answer, the more precise the quote:

  • Where the parent company is, and roughly what the group looks like — how many companies, worldwide.
  • What the UK operation will do: sell, deliver, employ, import, or hold something.
  • Whether you already have anyone working in the UK, in any arrangement, including contractors and through an employer of record.
  • Expected UK turnover and headcount for the first twelve months.
  • Your financial year end.
  • When you need to be trading.

If you already have a UK company

Plenty of our clients come to us with one already incorporated, often by a formation agent, and something not right: the ownership register wrong, tax registrations never done, a year end that does not match the group's, accounts overdue. Taking it on and fixing it is ordinary work. Tell us what state it is in, and the quote will cover the tidy-up as one job.
